If you're looking to make money online, then you've probably heard about affiliate marketing. It's one of the easiest ways for a beginner to start making money online, in my own opinion.

In fact, the majority of Internet marketing experts and gurus recommend that anyone new to the Internet marketing scene should try their hand at affiliate marketing to start.

Now, even if you're quite experienced at making money online... you should still do affiliate marketing for an additional stream of income, simply because it's quite an easy way to earn money and with the high commission rates been offered its quite profitable.

Here are the advantages of affiliate marketing:

• You do not need to develop your own product; the owner has already done that for you.

• You do not need to learn how to write any copy, you don't have to create sales pages – again, the owner has already done this for you.

• You will never have to deal with customer support requests, the product owner handles that for you.

• You will not need to set up any payment options. Yes, you did read that right. Basically, everything has been set up for YOU. All you have to do is PROMOTE & SELL your chosen product. Everything is there for you. All you have to do is grab your affiliate link and send people to it... and if the people that you're sending to your link decide to try and buy, you will make money. But, I think it's only fair to go through the disadvantages of affiliate marketing as well...

• You could build your entire business around a certain product, only for the owner to pull own the product.

• There often can be some delay in getting your money, because some affiliate networks have certain thresholds you have to meet before you get access to your money.

So, there you have it. The advantages and disadvantages of affiliate marketing . In my own opinion, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages by a country mile.

Why?

Because some of the disadvantages only happen once in a blue moon ... meaning never or very rarely.

Affiliate marketing IS one of the easiest ways to make money online. I recommend it to both beginners and advanced online marketers.

So, what's the best way to promote products as an affiliate? Through product reviews of course.

What you do is actually quite simple... you purchase a product (some marketers don't even purchase the product), review the contents of that product and publish the review online. Once this is done, you publish your review online, you drive targeted traffic to that review where your review will entice your visitors to click the link (your affiliate link) on the your review site that goes to the product sales page. Then, when they buy, you earn money. That is the process in a nutshell.

Why is reviewing a product the best way to sell a product as an affiliate?

Because potential customers want to know what they're purchasing, of course. Very often a potential customer will be researching something on a certain topic, and then come across a product sales page. And whilst some of those potential customers will go on to purchase that product without a second thought... some will go to a search engine to find some reviews .

Actually, a good percentage of the people that hit a sales page will go ahead and search for reviews in the main search engines. That's why it's a good strategy. If you can get your product review ranking well in the search engines, you're going to make an absolute killing. It's a strategy used by the most experienced affiliate marketers. It's a strategy that has worked for years, and it'll continue to work as long the Internet is in existence.

Let me break it down for you. First, a potential customer hits a sales page. Uncertain, they're not ready to purchase, they want to read something more “objective” than just the sale age. So what do they do? They search for “product name review” in a popular search engine. After reading one or more reviews, they decide if that product is worth purchasing. If the reviewer includes an affiliate link in the review, the potential customer is going to purchase through that link, of course.

In this article I'm going to show you how to create killer affiliate reviews website that make you money around the clock. Like I've already said, this method can be used by beginners and advanced marketers. It's an easy way for a beginner to get started making money online and the method can be used to create additional streams of income with minimal effort.

How to Hunt For a Good Affiliate Program

For Internet Marketers, choosing a product which to promote is usually done a bit too haphazardly. For Internet Marketers, there is always pressure to find the latest "in" thing and to roll with it until the next hot selling product begins. In short, timing is everything, and there is simply not enough of it to go around.  Because of this rush, though, the wrong product or products to promote, at the least, a weak product with only a few willing buyers is chosen and then given time, energy, and your resources.

Needless to say, this will get you no where, and fast, and once you see that the product is wrong for you, it's simply too late and the damage has already been done. However, there are a number of easy steps you can take that can help in choosing the right product to promote that makes the process more precise, rather than just a guessing game.

Here are a few methods that you can use to find a good affiliate program.

1. The Flippa Marketplace – This website is where online marketers come and constantly buy and sell websites to each other. Its always a good idea to check out this site as it gives you an insight to which niches people are currently making money in. You get use these topics to find and run them through a keyword tool that will help you to expand on your findings and ideas (more on that later).

2. Amazon.com - With Amazon selling just about everything under the sun, this is a great place to visit to help you generate new ideas for keywords. Simply choose a category, and browse around the products. For each product and category name gives you a potential keyword or keyword phars. Again, your keyword tool can help you to expand on what you've found.

3.  eBay - This one is just like Amazon. You’re simply going to take a look at the products and categories to get ideas.

4.  Billboards - As your driving around, keep an eye on the billboards. Just think about it for second; people are actually paying top dollar to advertise there. And they’re paying for a good reason. What I’ve come to realise is that things you find on billboards often pay very well online. Why? Billboards usually advertise products and services with high profit margins. Sure you will have to do more research later but the idea here is to get fresh keywords that you can’t think of otherwise.

5.  TV commercials - Once again, when people pay to advertise commercially like this, there has to be a lot of profit there. If you can get the traffic for free, it makes sense that you’ll be able to turn a good profit. Sometimes when I'm sitting in front of the TV with my laptop, I check search volumes (using a keyword tool) for different things that are being advertised on the TV.

6.  Newsletters - If you are promoting a particular brand within the Internet marketing (make money opportunitie) niche, make sure you subscribe to lots of different newsletters. As once you are on their mailing lists, you'll be sent affiliate promotional offers to temp you, however you can simply use these not to buy but instead to check out the actual merchant and their offer. Simply check out the affiliate signup page when you visit their site.

7.  If your looking for a particular product or brand name with a niche, you can easily just use Google to search the name followed by the search term “affiliate program”. As an example, if you are looking for products in the Puppy Training Niche, you can try a search phrase like “Puppy Training Affiliate Program” and WAM! A whole list of affiliate programs will appear in front of your eyes.

8.  Clickbank - ClickBank continues to dominate the digital info product arena – just use their search engine to browse around the availiable products, there is  thousands to chose from. When chosing a product to promote through Clickbank, some of the main areas you should watch out for; are the gravity, total earned per sale, percent earned per sale and percent of sales by affiliates. These will provide you with some good insight to the actual product, as well as letting you know how other affiliate are doing promoting that product.
